Proof that I can do a back-flip...and that I still need to get a life (Part 2)
I have to admit that I had second thoughts about posting this clip when I saw the freeze-frame shot above after the video had finished uploading. Mind you, Blogger has a mind of its own and I have no power over the opening frame. Mercy. Are you kidding me? I'm not even sure a few back-flips can redeem a shot like this one. Talk about big Texas hair...
Off to take a couple Advil. Next up (in 4 1/2 years): The big 5-0 on a unicycle. If I remember...my memory is fading fast, ya know?

You have GOT to be the coolest mom. Like, ever.
Vicki!
I have to say that I'm very impressed and I think you should send that tape to Jillian...
On second thought...she might say something mean like, "Big deal, I know 400lb people who can do backflips on the trampoline! Move it, sister, and get on that unicycle!"
Have a good day!
Blessings,
Dori
I am so very impressed...Go girl!!!
Impressed with your talented back flip but having bad memories of the 80's BIG TEXAS HAIR. :D
You rock!
Guess it gives new meaning to when Hayden says "My mom totally flipped the other day!"
I was thinking the same thing as Amy Beth.
I'm only 32, and I'm not sure that I can even get on the trampoline, much less do backflips on one!
Emily
I'm impressed. I would be dizzy and probably wet my pants.
Looking forward to the unicycle ride.

Joy
I think I would probably throw up after trying that - that's if I didn't break my neck trying! You go girl.

Yay!
Does jumping that much make you have to potty?
Oh...me neither...mumble...
Dawwwwwg girl! You make it look easy!
Way to go!
This is so great!!! My 6 year old daughter thinks you are a fabulous trampoline flipper. Hee. Hee.
That is VERY impressive, Vicki! I hope I can do the same in eight years...I better start practising now, huh? Got LOTS of work to go!
WOW!! That was impressive!! and I agree with Amy Beth!!
You know I wouldn't even have noticed your hair if you hadn't mentioned it--too busy looking at how GREAT YOU LOOK in your jeans!! :)
Beyond impressed. Totally beyond.
I ditto Joy's comments. There would be bladder issues, vertigo issues, and possibly a visit to the chiropractor, had that been me. :)
You're a "super-star!" :)
yOU ARE AWESOME!
I have two words for you...
Ador- able.
Girl... I am so impressed.
I think you should put this on one of your DVD studies. Imagine how cool all the girls will think you are!!!
But on second thought, it just might raise the fun mom bar way to high for us mere mortal moms... smiles!
You are the rockingest!
I am super impressed by your back-flipping abilities. However, I am super, super impressed with your bra's abilities at keeping things where they belong!!!
I was so inspired by your post I turned a cartwheel down the hall at my school for my students to tape for a video yearbook they ar composing. I am sure that compared to your multiple backflips you did so gracefully that my cartwheel sounds lame, however my students think I am the rockinest (I teach AP English and that is so not a word) teacher at school right now. I will take fame at whatever cost.I am afraid to think that if this is what our "shredding" is giving us confidence to do right now, what in the world will be doing in a month. Maybe we should keep it on the ground.
YOU ARE CRAZY!!!!
I can't even swing without feeling motion sickness ever since I had kids. Jumping and flipping would probably make me throw up!
Love Dori's comment - let's not give our girl Jillian any ideas, shall we?
very impressive. i'm proud to say i know you. and i had a unicycle when i was young. my record ride was approximately 5 seconds...or maybe 3.
YOU ROCK!!!!!!
Yes, I agree on the Mom-coolness. You are beyond super cool.
However, I'm most impressed by your bladder control. I'm just sayin'...
AMAZING!!!
Not only am I in awe but so are my two young kids! Maybe I could still do it too but I don't have the courage to try. Congratulations for even trying!
Wow! Impressive! The last time I jumped on the trampoline with my four kids, I had to make a quick exit, and came back to hear my most observant child say, "Mommy, why did you change your shorts?". :)
You and Suzy Woy with your back flips and backhandsprings at our age! Wow. VERY IMPRESSIVE!
I became a mom at 41, God gave me a vision of my daugther early on down to her dimples, it just took me awhile to realize she was to be born in China. For a few years now I have heard of Vicki Courtney and since I did not have children, I never searched you out. Fast forward to becoming a mom, her growing up and I realized it is probably time now that my daughter is turning 6 in a few days. I figured I should start looking at all your books. Imagine my surprise to have found your blog and realized I went to high school with you. This makes the reading all the more special.
Grace and Peace!
