Looking for a new routine?
Being a Christian is not about "playing it safe." I've never been one to hug the beam, but I have been guilty of resorting to the same-old dull routine. Lately, I've felt like God has been nudging me to upgrade my routine with some bold, new moves. It's time to throw a cartwheel or two. I could end up with some bumps and bruises along they way, but hey, it sure beats hugging the beam. Wanna join me?

Yikes. I hate when God follows up His Word to me with actual video instructions! He has so been talking to me about my same-old-same-old and how it is time to take that first step (off the beam?) toward Him in Faith and Trust.
Thanks, girl!

Awesome! As a young woman with a TON of choice to make that will shape my life, it is awesome to get a challenge like this one! Thanks!
Oh wow! Thanks so much I really needed that. You know we think we are going through so much and then to hear what someone else has gone through and they are not hugging the beam. I needed that challenge so much, to get off the beam and trust God and praise Him for what He is doing and what He will do. As I tell my daughter we only see so much, but God sees the big picture and He knows why things happen we just have to TRUST Him. So much easier said than done, but I am with you I'm up for the challenge.
Thank you so much!

wow... that was convicting. Thank you for posting it. What I needed to hear. Hope I can stand up and do something.
So convicting! I do want to join you. Can't wait to hear where it leads...
I am up WAY to late tonight because I had to write a letter to our Board of Directors and get it emailed before I went to bed. I thought I would stop by a few blogs really fast and I saw the 3 min. video that was such an encouragement to my heart!! I wish you could read my letter to our board....we are not holding on to the board but sometimes it sure does look scary when you are flipping on the beam!! Thank you Jesus for giving me encouragement in the craziest ways!
Wow - Vicki, I am straight up a beam-hugger at heart. Thankfully, God has yanked me into some scary moves over and over. I always scream and complain, but He is patient and long-suffering with me. He knows that (so far) I won't initiate the back flips, but I'll be obedient if He pushes me, so He does :)
We are doing the "crazy love" book and DVD bible study by this guy in our Sunday school class. He is great!!! Very real and tells it like it is.
Thanks so much for this post! I LOVE Francis Chan. :) I just read his book Crazy Love and it was incredible and very convicting. My husband and I both are feeling this poke from God and a big stir just really trying to figure out what God is telling us. We feel it might be my husband planting a church. We are trusting and waiting patiently. May my family not hug the beam but be bold for Christ and trust in Him alone.
Thanks Vicki.
