We're overdue for a give-away!

UPDATE: WE HAVE WINNERS! Congratulations to:
Angie128 - Me and My Good Life - http://meandmygoodlife.blogspot.com/
Mindy - mindymc5@gmail.com - http://philippians4verse8.blogspot.com/
J. Davis - j6davis@gci.net
This give-away is a bit random in nature, but I was inspired by seeing this on Facebook. Grab the nearest book to you and turn to page 56. Scroll down to the 5th sentence on the page and copy and paste it into your reply on this post. Don't forget to leave your email if you don't have a blog profile I.D., so we can find you if you win. One week from today, we will draw for 3 winners and each will receive a signed copy of my newest release, 5 Conversations You Must Have With Your Daughter. In fact, I'll let you pick between the book or the new Bible study workbook. Best of luck!
Oh, and just for fun, I turned to page 56 of 5 Conversations and here is the 5th sentence: "And for the record, if the pediatrician isn't worried, you shouldn't be either." Pretty random!

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 230 Newer› Newest»So they ate only snails.
"We all agreed that one humble strawberry had more power than all my pompous inanities."
weird.
"But guys, she failed to notice a very important event that was taking place across town at Safeway."
"This mothering deal is almost killing me. I'm so tired."
What a quote :)
"Show anti-itch cream or lotion."
pp.56, Fruit of the Spirit Leader's Guide (Gospel Light).
It's an object lesson about Betsy and Corrie ten Boom and how they showed thankfulness to God, even in the midst of bad conditions. The anti-itch cream is to demonstrate that the guards never came into their barracks because of the flea infestation.
(What a cool lesson. I may have to use that example sometime.)
There is only one sentence on page 56 of "Who Moved My Cheese" and it is:
You Stop.
Saul learned of David's whereabouts and sent messengers to bring him back, but when the messengers entered the spiritual assembly, they were caught up in the prophetic ecstasies, overwhelmed by God's Spirit.
That is from the book "Leap Over a Wall" by Eugene Peterson.
Hope to win. Thank you,
♥
Joy
"You don't have to spin a web."
I'm reading Charlotte's Web to my kids during lunch and we just finished lunch, so that was the closest book. :)
"We must be careful to avoid spiritual elitism." Beth Moore - To Live is Christ
"That means that every act of sin you and I as believers commit in our very own bodies is being committed in God's sanctuary, His temple!"
Life Management for Busy Women, Elizabeth George
Thanks for the entry! I would love a copy as my daughter is turning 1 on Tuesday!
"The really bizarre thing-and the thing that incidentally has to do with this book-is that its head was stuck in a Dr. Pepper can." from No Other Gods by Kelly Minter. :) Makes you want to read more, doesn't it?!
"What was that all about?"
"Pain begins in the mind."
"There are just too many things to do."
Soooo true..
"One thing is certain: The idea of someone thinking he can't cut it is humiliating - a feeling every man wants to avoid at all costs."
--For Women Only by Shaunti Feldhahn
"Glancing this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand" Exodus 2:12 (pg 56 sentance 5)
"Either way they'll eat the flesh off my bones."
Pam.nance@mssfulfillment.com
I am like a luxuriant cypress; from Me comes your fruit.
"This is why that place near the Jordan is called Abel Mizraim." (Genesis 50: 11b) I truly looked around my desk so it wouldn't look like I was just acting "Holy" - but the other books (My Utmost for His Highest and a Daily Devotional Journal) didn't have page numbers - and I didn't want to count to page 56.
Pg. 56 Purpose Driven Life
The Bible says, "Use your whole body as a tool to do what is right for the glory of God."

The man's face was grim "Could I speak to you"?
from Karen Kingsbury's book "Rejoice" from the Redemption series.
Go and talk to that Mr. Howard again.
